Cable Management

Specialist routing, dressing, and evidence—clean desks, safe bends, and labelled paths end-to-end

Plan & protect: tray/basket layouts; floor/edge guards; RAMS

Install & dress: under-desk trays, baskets and; Velcro looms

Label & document: printed IDs on cables & devices

Handover: link speed/PoE load checks; continuity sign-off

How Does It Work: Cable Management

Desk & Hot Desk Tidy

Under-desk tray/basket, cable-through grommets, Velcro-dressed looms, separation from power, label both ends, link check, before/after photos.

(Volume pricing and out-of-hours available.)

Meeting Room Looms

Display/soundbar loom to brush plate, table-box → credenza path, projector column routing, ceiling mic/speaker drops, labels, link/PoE checks, evidence pack.

Rack & Credenza Discipline

Left→right/top→bottom patching, horizontal/vertical managers, lacing/strain bars, service loops, colour coding, label index, link tests, photo set.

Containment Install by metre/zone

Wire-basket or perforated tray, mini/dado trunking with segregated power/data, floor/edge grommets, transitions; earth bonding where required; mapped and photographed.

On the day, our lead engineer checks in, confirms RAMS/permits, lays floor/edge protection, and walks the agreed routes. We mark containment runs against the tray/trunking map, confirm substrates and fixings, and stage tools and labels so the work area stays tidy and auditable.

We install containment first: wire-basket or perforated tray for primaries, mini/dado trunking for surface runs, and under-desk trays/baskets at each workstation. Penetrations are grommeted or brush-plated, metallic runs earth-bonded where required, and raised floors lifted under permit with brush floor grommets fitted and tiles re-seated.

What tools & equipment do we use to cable manage:

Containment: wire-basket tray, perforated tray, ladder rack, mini/dado trunking (segregated), display drops, projector shrouds, under-desk trays/baskets, wall/floor brush grommets, conduit and glands.

Fixings & dressings: Velcro (data/AV), selective cable ties (power/anchors), strain-relief/lacing bars, cable combs, adhesive bases with mechanical backup, edge grommet strips.

Labelling: Heat-shrink or flag IDs at both ends (plus mid-run on long pulls), colour sleeves by path – distinct colours for power, data, fibre, and a matching label index in the cable schedule

Power: PDUs with labelled circuits, surge-protected gangs for desks, power and data run in segregated containment, and planned service loops so maintenance doesn’t pull on cable.

What tools & equipment do we use to cable manage:

Enforced Technical Standards

Seperation

£10M Employers and £5M Public Liability Insurance in place, ensuring complete protection for staff, clients, and third parties during projects.

Bend Radii

Copper ≥ 4× diameter; fibre ≥ 10× diameter (or vendor specifications)

Strain Relief

Anchored before connectors; weight off adapters/SFPs.

Access & Air Flow

Vents clear; finger-room and tie-off points left for future work.

Want to find out more?

We finish with a photographed handover. You receive a cable schedule (ID → origin/ destination → type/length → route → test result), the updated tray/trunking map, and a photo pack with before/after wides plus label, strain-relief and under-desk close-ups. The area is tidied, protection lifted, exceptions (if any) are logged with owner/ETA, and the client sign-off is captured—leaving a clean, labelled, and supportable installation.
