Desktop PC Relocation
Due to a high profile, major construction project in London, our client required 260 staff to be relocated to its newly built prestigious office in London Bridge. We were tasked to move all desktop PC equipment as well as around 300 crates containing staff belongings.
The move was performed in two phases, across two consecutive Saturdays, from two floors in the current site to 3 floors in the new office.
On each move day one team de-commissioned the desktop PC equipment and packed it into IT crates with anti static bubble wrap protection. At the same time a separate team loaded the user crates onto the vehicles. The IT crates were then loaded and, after a sweep of the building, everything was transported to the new office.
The desktop equipment was unloaded as a priority. The user IT equipment was taken to the correct desks on each floor, unpacked, re-commissioned, then powered on to check functionality.
The crates containing the rest of the staff belongings were unloaded and placed at their relevant positions in relation to the desk plan supplied by the client.
For the first working day after the move we provided a presence on site to assist the staff with moving crates to enable them to continue work as soon as possible.
