Office IT Relocation
Our clients continued expansion required them to relocate to a fantastic, newly refurbished office in East London. The IT infrastructure and just over 90 staff, including belongings and IT equipment needed to be moved and setup over a Friday evening.
The new location also had a bespoke desktop environment which was required to be installed prior to the move.
A week prior to the move our team cabled up the new desktop environment according to the clients plans. Approximately 100 new monitors had been purchased which were attached to the new monitor arms. The rest would be fitted post move.
On the move day we began at noon. Whilst some of the team de-commissioned the server equipment, the rest de-commissioned the desktops and removed any monitor arms in readiness for fixing at the new location.Once everything was packed into IT crates or flight cases it was loaded onto the vehicles and transported to the new office whilst the user crates and various other office equipment was loaded onto the other vehicles.
The IT equipment was unloaded as a priority. Server equipment was re-racked and handed over to the client for testing whilst the user IT equipment was unpacked, and setup at the desks including the fitting of the remaining monitors to the new arms, then tested for connectivity.
The crates containing the rest of the staff and company belongings were unloaded and placed at their relevant positions in relation to the desk plan supplied by the client.
The move was sucessfully completed later that evening, with no issues.
